Replacing broken back doors with stained knotty alder doors.

My clients found me on Angie’s List and asked me to advice them on replacing the broken doors by robbers.

When I came to their house I found out that one door was totally fixed in the jamb as a side light and one swinging door with broken glass.

My clients asked me if I could remove both doors and use the existing jamb.
They did not want to have too much mess that comes along with the demolition, they did not want to deal with stucco and drywall repair.

After carefully measuring the width, side to side and floor to the top of the jamb, I gave them my word that I can do the job as they requested.

I ordered two 32 inch doors by 96 inches, I stained the doors dark as they asked me to in my shop.

It took me and my helper a day and half to complete the job.
The demolition was the hardest part of the job and took us long time to do a clean cut.

The sidelight door was screwed all around to the jamb. The post between the the sidelight and the door was also screwed.

When I completed the job it looked just right. My client was very happy with the results.

Now I am waiting for the report on Angie’s List from these clients
