I've always wanted some of these. Seems like they would make life much easier.
Yes Deborah Munoz-Chacon, they are a great deterrent for criminals. I also love their black out ability. They are great for those who need to sleep during the day. They block out light and noise.

I'd never thought of them as a security measure before.
It would seem that these shutters would also deter criminals from entering your home when they are down and secured.
I have these for my house in Florida, although I went with the manual version b/c if the hurricane is coming there will probably not be any power.
