Replacement of an Aluminum door with six panel fir door and a security door.

 

My client asked me to replace an out swing aluminum door with a six panel fir door.

My customer found me on Angie’s List.

The aluminum door opened outward and my client wanted the new door to open inward and to install a security door.

 

Old mobile homes have their own standards and building codes.

Today mobile homes share pretty much the sane codes as regular home.

This job was at an old mobile home that have aluminum door.

 

After I removed the old door, I installed a custom jamb and a standard fir door.

I hung the new door on the new jamb and installed this pre-hung door in the opening.

After the installation of the new door, trim and hardware, I installed a new security door.

I have to admit it was a bit tricky job, converting from mobile home to a regular house kind of materials including the new doors.

A happy end is always a good thing.

Here is the review I received from my client in her own words at Angie’s List website.

 

Removed and replaced an outward opening door with a slightly smaller inward opening door and installed a security door.
Dov was awesome!  I called him to do the work for my elderly mother at her mobile home.
He came the day I called to provide an estimate and was professional, patient and knowledgeable.
He had to order a door and alter it slightly before he could do the installation but it only took a few days for him to have the door and start to work.
He arrived when he said he would, worked fast and the door installations went great!
We are very very happy with both doors.
We will call Dov again for any woodworking, doors or carpentry work we need in the future.
