Knotty Alder Doors by Shapira Builders.

 

Home owners, as they buy a new home, often like to replace the main entry door.

 

When they call me and run it it by me, we schedule an appointment.
I present my client with many pictures of different doors catalogs to choose from.

 

Once my client has chosen a wooden door, we discuss the stain color and the finish, gloss, high gloss or satin.
When I order the door and the woodwork that goes around the door, it always comes in raw wood, unfinished.

 

You are looking at Knotty Alder doors in different stain shads that I put together and installed.
The client get to choose the stain from the samples that I make.
Some clients show me a picture from a magazine to give an idea of the finish, I mix the stain from different premixed stains to achieve the right shade.

 

Polyurethane will be applied as the finish coat. Polyurethane has UV protection and it is a tough finish protection for harsh weather.
Lacquer is suitable only for interior application.

I pre-hang the door and do all the finish work in my shop.

Touch up will be applied when the installation is completely done.
