Easy Snap In door bottom sealer
Door Bottom Sweeps come in many different shapes
Most of the sweeps are adjustable and get mounted with screws.
The Snap In sweep is not adjustable, therefor it calls for adjustable threshold.
Adjustable Threshold
Door bottoms, also called door sweeps, they are inexpensive and effective way to increase draft protection in your home. Sweeps are attached to the bottom of your door to provide a physical barrier, typically rubber, against cold and hot air that could seep through the crack between the door bottom and floor.
The wood part of the threshold must be treated with stain and finish coat.
Snap-in sweeps are very easy to replace, they are easy to cut to size.
Snap-in sweeps will not leave screw holes on your door.
If you are going to replace any of your exterior door,
make sure to ask your installer to provide a door with ‘Snap In’ sweep’.
That will make your life easy when it is time to replace the sweep.
You do not need to remove the door in order to replace the sweep !!
These kind of sweeps usually come with all new pre-hung doors that you can find at your local store such Lowe’s or Home Depot.
These stores also sell Snap-in sweeps.

We can use something like this for several of doors. It is great to know there are some other options that you can use on the door to keep the draft out.

I could use this on my door in the basement. I will have to look into this. It doesn't look very hard to install I think I might be able to do this with the help of my son.
Interesting, we should get this for our doors. We rent, the house is old and nothing has ever been replaced so we have drafts. It would help keep the heat from leaving the house every winter.

We could definitely use this. Our front door has a gap on the bottom and I know air conditioning it just slipping out.
Drafts from under the doors are a huge energy loss for most homeowners. It looks like these snap in sweeps will solve that problem!

sounds like snap in sweep comes really handy in solving most of the door problems that occur. We had issues with the builder of our house for some of the stuff you mentioned in the post.. I wonder why they didn't think of this?
Snap in Sweeps sound like the answer to loosing valuable money through drafty doors.

I am going to share this post with my husband also. Neither one of us have heard of these snap-in-sweeps before. They look like they would be a lot easier to install than what we have used in the past.
This looks like something I need on the bottom of one of my doors. It a few centimeters above the floor and I want to it be flush with the floor.

Something like these snap in door sealers are probably something I should invest in at some point. Our place has draft issues occasionally so I'd hate to find out how much money we throw away on heating and cooling. I'll keep these in mind.
The door that leads into my basement had one of these… but part of it got torn somehow. My Hubs is going to have to read this post so he can fix it…. I don't do the jobs like that… I try to stay in the kitchen.
